Job summary

Winsearch in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our growing automotive operation in the Edinburgh area. This hands-on role focuses on diagnostics, quality repairs and ensuring high workmanship in a professional workshop environment.

You will service, maintain and repair vehicles, diagnose faults with electrical and mechanical systems, use diagnostic equipment, and maintain precise records.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Experience gained within a dealership, repair garage, vehicle manufacturer or fleet environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Repair and replace defective vehicle components.
• Conduct inspections and safety checks.
• Complete work to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain accurate documentation and job records.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
