Job summary

Crem Recruitment Ltd. has partnered with a well-established automotive dealership group in Bury St Edmunds to recruit a qualified Vehicle Technician. You will join an experienced workshop team, with a competitive salary and a strong focus on training and career development.

The role involves servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across a variety of vehicle makes, with Monday to Friday hours and no weekend work. A positive attitude and commitment to quality are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Two years of trained experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Experience in a franchised dealership or established workshop
• Good diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
• Confidence using modern diagnostic equipment
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• MOT Tester licence advantageous

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, clutches and engine components
• Complete manufacturer warranty repairs
• Perform MOT testing in accordance with DVSA standards (where qualified)
• Produce accurate reports from electronic vehicle health checks
• Prepare used vehicles for sale and conduct road tests
