ACS Automotive is seeking a Vehicle Technician (Car or Commercial) in Canterbury. The role offers a permanent full-time position with a basic salary starting around £32,760 plus a guaranteed monthly bonus of £150 for 12 months.

You’ll work Monday to Friday 8:00–17:30 with 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:00–13:00 (paid at £120 per Saturday). The successful candidate will have Level 3 NVQ in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, a full UK driving licence, and at least 2 years in a workshop.

Responsabilités

• Repairing and servicing of motor vehicles as instructed.
• Work to a time schedule whilst maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Complete write-up of work required and work carried out on the job card.
• Diagnose faults with all makes/models with confidence.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Attend internal and external training as required.
• Maintain professional manner and behaviour.
• Work well under pressure and to tight timescales.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Our client, a volume dealer group in the Canterbury area of Kent is looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop team. The basic salary on offer is £30,940, plus Saturdays paid as overtime which will work out to around £34,000 and bonus. Experience in working on LCV's would be advantageous but not essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring your work space is clean and safe.

• Be comfortable working under pressure and to tight timescales.
• Have the ability to work as part of a team.

You must have:

• A strong knowledge of mechanical repairs and diagnostics.

Qualifications / Experience required:

• Level 3 NVQ in Motor Vehicle Mechanics.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a workshop environment.
• MOT Licence (Class IV) would be an advantage.
