AutoSkills (United Kingdom) in Camberley is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles in a busy workshop. The role emphasizes quality workmanship, efficiency and excellent customer service in a professional environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week, with no weekend work. A £35,000 basic salary with up to £45,000 OTE is on offer, along with overtime opportunities, training and real opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Own tools and toolbox.
• Full manual UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
• MOT Tester licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and technical faults.
• Complete mechanical repairs and assembly operations.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and productivity.
• Ensure work complies with manufacturer and health and safety standards.
• Accurately document completed service and repair work.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional work as required.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and workshop colleagues.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and technical faults.
• Completing mechanical repairs and assembly operations.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity.
• Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and health and safety standards.
• Accurately documenting completed service and repair work.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying additional work where required.
• Working closely with Service Advisor's and workshop colleagues.
• Delivering excellent technical support and customer service.

About You

To be considered for this Vehicle Technician position, you’ll ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• At least 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Your own tools and toolbox.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
• A full manual UK driving licence, subject to licence checks.
• The right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.
• An MOT Tester licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
