Job summary

HiQ Tyres & Autocare in Burton is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. You will inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles to DVSA standards, using dealer-level and generic diagnostic equipment to complete time-efficient repairs.

We require a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or time served) and a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points. A generous bonus scheme, discounts, and training opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles to ensure road worthiness and DVSA standards.
• Use dealer-level and generic diagnostic equipment to assist in time-efficient repairs.
• Perform repairs and maintenance in line with manufacturer standards and schedules.
• Discuss required repairs with customer.
• Calculate the expected time and cost of vehicle work.
• Maintain health and safety standards and work within guidelines.
• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and paperwork to a high standard.
• Undertake additional duties for efficient store operation.
• Carry out store administration duties as required.
• Assist in regular stock checks in accordance with Company Policy.

HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join our team in Burton. The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm – half a day finish on a Saturday,salary depending on experience.

What you will be doing as a Vehicle Technician:

• Inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to ensure road worthiness and reliability to DVSA standards.

• Use of dealer-level and generic diagnostic equipment to assist in time-efficient repairs.

• Perform repairs and maintenance in line with manufacturer standards and schedules.

• Discussing required repairs with customer

• Calculating the expected time and cost of vehicle work

• Always maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices.

• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard

• To undertake any additional duties (within reason) for the efficient running of the Store.

• To carry out administration duties as required within the store.

• Assist in carrying out regular stock checks in accordance with Company Policy.

What you will need:
