Job summary

Escape is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician in East Kilbride to join a growing engineering and manufacturing team. Initially involved in building and testing complete vehicles in production, with progression into aftersales servicing and occasional on-site diagnostics.

You will work from engineering drawings, fault-find electrical and mechanical components, and travel to client sites as needed. The role is a permanent position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering £18.00–£21.00

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical experience from automotive, HGV, plant, or related fields.
• Able to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Willing to travel to customer sites for breakdowns and support.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble complete vehicles in production.
• Fit, torque and test mechanical and electrical components.
• Diagnose faults and perform tests using drawings and docs.
• Provide aftersales service and occasional field support at customer sites.
• Maintain build, service and quality documentation.
