Evans Halshaw Renault Middlesbrough is recruiting a Vehicle Technician Apprentice for the November 2026 intake. The programme combines hands-on dealership training with structured instruction to achieve an IMI Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance.

No prior automotive experience is required; the apprenticeship is designed to teach you the skills step by step with an experienced mentor, setting you up for a long-term career in the automotive industry.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in vehicles and the automotive industry.
• A willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• A keen eye for detail.
• A grade C or Grade 4 in English, Maths and Science.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service vehicles, checking and maintaining them following clear instructions.
• Learn to diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components.
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections.
• Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance to vehicles.
• Maintain repair and service records on the in-house computer system and for customers.
