Job summary

Stratstone Audi Bolton is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician Apprentice starting in September 2026. You’ll combine hands-on dealership learning with structured training and the support of an experienced mentor, working toward the IMI Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance to become a fully qualified Technician.

No prior automotive experience is required. The apprenticeship includes visits to Inspiro Training Academy in Milton Keynes and a blend of on-the-job learning,

Qualifications

• No prior automotive experience required.
• IMI Level 3 qualification training will be completed during the apprenticeship.
• A genuine interest in vehicles and a positive attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service vehicles by following clear instructions.
• Diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components.
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections and produce time estimates for repairs.
• Maintain repair and service records on the in-house system and for customers.

As a Vehicle Technician Apprentice, you’ll combine hands‑on experience in our dealerships with structured training and the support of an experienced mentor. You’ll work towards achieving an IMI Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance, setting you up to become a fully qualified Vehicle Technician.

You don’t need previous experience in the automotive industry to apply. We don’t expect you to know everything already, that’s what the apprenticeship is for.

If you’re curious, motivated and willing to learn, we’ll give you the training, support and mentoring you need to succeed and build a long-term career as a Vehicle Technician.

Please note that if successful you will be required to attend the Inspiro Training Academy in Milton Keynes as outlined below:

• 1st Year: 7 separate visits, each for 4 nights.
• 2nd Year: 6 separate visits, each for 4 nights.
• 3rd Year: 5 separate visits, each for 4 nights. *

What will you be doing every day as an Apprentice Vehicle Technician?

• Learning to service vehicles, checking and maintaining them following clear instructions
• Learning to diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections
• Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance to vehicles
• Maintain repair and service records on the in-house computer system and for customers.
