Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Tavistock to join a fast-growing automotive retailer. You will review work on customer vehicles and perform a wide range of fast-fit mechanical and light/full-service tasks. Training will be provided to achieve Level 3 qualifications.

Salary £30,000–£33,000 with uncapped OTE around £3,600. Hours: 08:30–17:30 Mon–Fri; Sat 08:30–16:00 on a rota with a mid-week day off.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence - Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts
• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK's fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Tavistock.

As aVehicle Technicianyou would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Tavistock

Pay / salary: £30,000 - £33,000

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 - 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.
