Job summary

BCT Resourcing is recruiting Vehicle Technicians for a major new vehicle preparation centre at Portbury, near Bristol. The role offers a 4-day week, strong earning potential with overtime, and brand-new facilities.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform health checks, and service vehicles to a high standard in a busy, professional team. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent required.
• Qualified Vehicle Technician with relevant experience preferred.
• MOT testing qualification advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults to high standards.
• Carry out vehicle health checks and routine servicing.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment to locate faults.
• Complete servicing and repairs in a busy preparation environment.
• Maintain safety and quality workmanship at all times.
• Work as part of a skilled vehicle preparation team.

We're building the team for a major new vehicle preparation centre in Portbury, and we're looking for experienced Vehicle Technicians who want more than just another workshop job. You'll join initially at our existing Avonmouth site before moving into a brand-new, state-of-the-art preparation centre, backed by significant investment and designed around the people working there.

What you'll get:

• £33,000-£45,000 basic salary DOE
• £50,000+ earning potential with overtime

• Monday-Thursday 06:00-18:00, or
• Tuesday-Friday 06:00-18:00

The Role

You’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing and preparing vehicles to a high standard within a busy, professional preparation environment. You’ll also:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults

• Maintain high standards of quality and safety
• Work as part of a skilled vehicle preparation team

About You

We’re looking for qualified Vehicle Technicians with:

• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, IMI, ATA or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• A commitment to quality workmanship
• Full UK driving licence
• MOT Tester qualification is an advantage but not essential.
