Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a busy dealership workshop in Tonbridge. The role requires MOT testing and servicing, with a focus on inspections and mechanical repairs.

The successful candidate will hold a current MOT Testing Licence, a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and a full UK driving licence. Excellent training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current MOT Testing Licence (essential).
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent (essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Right to work in the UK (essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing alongside servicing and mechanical repair work
• Complete pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
• Carry out vehicle health checks and identify additional work
• Complete servicing and maintenance to required standards
• Diagnose and complete minor mechanical and electrical repairs
• Fit vehicle accessories when required
• Road test vehicles following repairs and complete relevant workshop documentation

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic to join a busy dealership workshop in Tonbridge. Applicants must hold a current MOT Testing Licence, a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.

Job Details:

• Location: Tonbridge
• Salary: £34,000£37,000 basic depending on qualifications + bonus
• OTE: £41,000+
• Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday 8:30am5:00pm, plus Saturday mornings 8:30am12:30pm on a rota

Vehicle Technician Role

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Current MOT Testing Licence essential
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent essential
• Previous Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, Automotive Technician or Mechanic experience
• Strong hands-on servicing, inspection and repair skills
• Dealership or independent garage experience considered
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Full and valid UK Driving Licence essential
• Right to work in the UK

This position would suit a qualified MOT Tester or Vehicle Technician looking for a varied workshop role combining MOT testing, servicing, inspections and mechanical repairs, with ongoing technical training and career progression.
