Job summary

Vertu Nissan Tamworth is looking for a Service and Maintenance Technician. The role offers a basic salary of £29,200–£37,700, based on a 42-hour week with no weekend work. There is a £4,000 sign-on bonus (£2,000 paid in month 1 and £2,000 in month 13) and an over-performance bonus opportunity.

You will maintain, service, and repair vehicles to high standards. Applicants should have NVQ3/City & Guilds in Automotive, current technician experience, own tools, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Formal automotive qualification (NVQ3/City & Guilds) required.
• Current vehicle technician experience.
• Full UK driving licence; MOT license preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair vehicles to high standards.
• Aim for first-time fixes and quality workmanship.
• Follow safety and quality processes and manufacturer guidelines.

We are offering a basic salary between £29,200 - £37,700 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 42 hour working week (NO WEEKEND WORKING) and an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

We are also offering a £4000 sign on bonus, £2000 paid in month one and £2000 paid in month 13!

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. We are expanding our team and currently seeking skilled individuals who take pride in their work. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. Your expertise across all aspects of the job will be essential, from straightforward servicing to complex repairs. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
