Job summary

Vertu Ford Birmingham Fleet is seeking a Service and Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will maintain, service and repair vehicles to the highest standards, delivering an excellent customer experience.

Salary: £28,840–£36,200 for a 40-hour week, Saturdays paid as overtime, plus a £4,000 sign-on bonus (£2k in month 1, £2k in month 13). Requirements: NVQ Level 3 / Automotive City & Guilds, current Vehicle Technician experience, own tools, and a full UK driving licence; MOT license

Join our team at Vertu Ford Birmingham Fleet and become a valued Service and Maintenance Technician.

We are offering a basic salary between £28,840 - £36,200 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 40 hour working week and Saturdays paid as overtime and an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

We are also offering a £4000 sign on bonus, £2000 paid in month one and £2000 paid in month 13!

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. We are expanding our team and currently seeking skilled individuals who take pride in their work. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. Your expertise across all aspects of the job will be essential, from straightforward servicing to complex repairs. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
