Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is assisting an established automotive service provider in Stourbridge to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician. The role offers a competitive basic salary up to £42,000, with no weekend work and regular day shifts in a modern workshop.

You will conduct servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to high standards, using advanced tools and diagnostics. Training, on-site parking, and staff discounts are provided, with progression opportunities and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance or equivalent; Level 2 accepted with substantial experience.
• Proven experience as a competent Vehicle Technician.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• MOT licence and EV/hybrid training are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to a high standard.
• Handle mechanical tasks such as clutches, cambelts, and more advanced repairs.
• Work efficiently in a busy workshop and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Keep accurate records of work and comply with health and safety regulations.

• Competitive basic salary up to £42,000, negotiable based on experience
• Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm; Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm; no weekends

• Maintain a safe and professional working environment
• Keep accurate records of work carried out and comply with health and safety regulations
• Requirements:
• Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance or equivalent (Level 2 considered with substantial experience)
• Proven experience working as a competent Vehicle Technician
• Ability to work efficiently without supervision
• Valid driving licence and own tools
• Experience or training with premium brands such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes, or Jaguar Land Rover (not essential)
• MOT licence and EV/hybrid specialist training (not essential)
