Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform Cambelt, clutch, gearbox, and engine repairs.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical diagnostics.

Vehicle Technician – Hedge End

Our client, a busy franchised dealership in Hedge End, requires an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join their established workshop team. Vehicle Technicians/Mechanics returning to the motor trade are welcome.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities

• Ensure servicing and repairs are carried out to manufacturer standards
• Cambelt, clutch, gearbox, and engine repairs/replacements
• Electrical and mechanical diagnostics
• Mechanic warranty repairs
• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards (if qualified)

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

Essential requirements:

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
• 2 years post-apprenticeship experience
• Full and clean UK driving licence

Desirable requirements:

• Class 4 MOT licence
• Manufacturer accreditations
• MOT licence (Class 4 and 7)

Remuneration and Benefits

Basic salary up to £29,000 DOE, plus overtime. On-target earnings: £50,000.
