Job summary

A leading automotive recruitment agency is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join an established workshop team in Gatwick. Candidates should have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and at least 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience. The role comes with a competitive salary of up to £36,000 and the potential to earn OTE of £48,000 along with great benefits including manufacturer training programs and a staff car scheme.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years post-apprenticeship experience required.
• Must hold a full and clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure servicing and repairs are carried out to manufacturer standards.
• Conduct cambelt, clutch, gearbox, and engine repairs/replacements.
• Perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics.

Skills

Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance

Our client, a busy franchised dealership in Gatwick has the requirement for an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join their established workshop team. Vehicle Technicians – Mechanics coming back to the motor trade are most welcome.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities

• Ensure Servicing & Repairs are carried out to Manufacturer Standards
• Cambelt, Clutch, Gearbox & Engine Repairs/Replacements
• Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostics
• Mechanic Warranty Repairs
• Carry out MOT testing to DVSA standards (if qualified)

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Essential Requirements:
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  • 2 years Post Apprenticeship Experience
  • Full and clean UK Driving Licence
• Desirable Requirements:
  • Class 4 MOT Licence
  • Manufacturer Accreditations
  • MOT Licence (Class 4 & 7)
