Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Scunthorpe to join a leading main dealer group. You will service and repair a range of vehicles, working with modern equipment in a busy workshop.

The role offers a strong base salary up to £35,848 plus bonus and overtime to reach around £46k, with Monday–Friday days and Saturday rota work, 40–45 hours weekly. Full UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• NVQ/IMI/ATA or City & Guilds level 3 (or level 2 with substantial dealership experience).
• MOT license preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, including warranty work.
• Perform MOT testing duties if qualified.

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, ATA or City & Guilds level 3 ideally but we will also consider level 2 with a lot of experience (If you’re a level 2 Vehicle Technician with main dealership experience then definitely apply!)
• MOT license is preferred but not essential
