Job summary

Perfect Placement is partnering with a national dealer group to appoint an experienced Vehicle Technician in Prestwich. The role offers a clear path to career progression within a reputable organisation that prioritises growth, training and quality service.

You will conduct maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, diagnose faults and stay updated on EV tech, with a Monday-Friday schedule and optional Saturday hours. Salary, OTE and benefits discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification as a Vehicle Technician.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an automotive technician.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and complex vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Ensure high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
• Keep accurate records of work performed in accordance with industry standards.
• Maintain workshop equipment and tools.
• Support ongoing training and development of colleagues.
• Attend induction academy to familiarise with company processes and standards.
• Stay up-to-date with latest automotive technology, including EVs.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician

• NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification as a Vehicle Technician
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working as an automotive technician
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and to high standards in a busy workshop environment
