Job summary

Ashfield District Council seeks a Vehicle Technician to join our team in Sutton-In-Ashfield. This full-time, permanent role is 37 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of £36,581 - £39,481 per annum with additional allowances.

You will work on a varied fleet, with opportunities for MOT testing and professional development. The ideal candidate is a Level 3 HGV vehicle technician, motivated and enthusiastic about keeping our wheels on the road, with hybrid working and extensive staff

Qualifications

• Qualified Level 3 HGV vehicle technician with MOT testing qualifications or willingness to undertake training.
• Experience with maintenance of a large and varied fleet of Vehicles & Plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service a large fleet of vehicles and plant equipment ranging from 32Tonne refuse vehicles to tractors and mowers.
• Carry out MOT testing or undertake required training to become approved tester.
• Ensure roadworthiness and reliability of fleet to support operations.

Ashfield District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join the team based in Sutton-In-Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (37 hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,581 - £39,481 per annum with additional allowances.

We have an opportunity for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and excited about keeping our wheels on the road.

As a qualified Level 3 HGV vehicle technician, with MOT testing qualifications or willing to undertake training for MOT Testing, you will play a critical role in helping to maintain a large and varied fleet of Vehicles & Plant equipment ranging from 32Tonne Refuse Collection Vehicles to Massey Ferguson Tractors & Mowers.
