Job summary

Ashfield District Council in Sutton-In-Ashfield is recruiting a Vehicle Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis (37 hours per week). You will maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles and plant equipment, from 32-tonne refuse vehicles to tractors, ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualified to Level 3 HGV vehicle technician standard, with MOT testing qualifications or willingness to train for MOT testing, you will diagnose faults, service, repair and keep records up to date.

Job description

Ashfield District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join the team based in Sutton-In-Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (37 hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,581 - £39,481 per annum with additional allowances.

We have an opportunity for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and excited about keeping our wheels on the road.

As a qualified Level 3 HGV vehicle technician, with MOT testing qualifications or willing to undertake training for MOT Testing, you will play a critical role in helping to maintain a large and varied fleet of Vehicles & Plant equipment ranging from 32Tonne Refuse Collection Vehicles to Massey Ferguson Tractors & Mowers.
