Job summary

Ashfield District Council is seeking a Level 3 HGV vehicle technician to join the fleet team in Sutton-In-Ashfield. The position is full time and permanent, 37 hours per week, with a competitive salary of £36,581 - £39,481 per annum and additional allowances.

You will maintain a diverse fleet, with MOT testing qualifications preferred or training provided, and contribute to keeping the wheels on the road across vehicles from 32T refuse trucks to tractors and mowers.

• Qualified Level 3 HGV vehicle technician.
• Willing to undertake MOT testing training if not already qualified.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a large fleet of vehicles and plant equipment.
• Carry out servicing, repairs and MOT testing where qualified.

Ashfield District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join the team based in Sutton-In-Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (37 hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,581 - £39,481 per annum with additional allowances.

We have an opportunity for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and excited about keeping our wheels on the road.

As a qualified Level 3 HGV vehicle technician, with MOT testing qualifications or willing to undertake training for MOT Testing, you will play a critical role in helping to maintain a large and varied fleet of Vehicles & Plant equipment ranging from 32Tonne Refuse Collection Vehicles to Massey Ferguson Tractors & Mowers.
