Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group in Long Eaton, Derbyshire is recruiting a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for a full-time, permanent role. You will diagnose faults, service vehicles and perform routine maintenance to manufacturers’ specifications, plus health checks and pre-delivery inspections.

You’ll also carry out cambelt, engine or brake work as required and complete safety inspections to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry recognised qualification.
• Ability to work to set timescales and handle all vehicle repairs and servicing.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic on a full time and permanent basis for a well-known client based in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.

Salary: Circa £34K PA

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm and two Saturdays per month 8:30am until 12 noon

Location: Long Eaton

Holiday entitlement: 25 days annual plus statutory bank holidays

As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic you will be:

• Carrying out diagnostics
• Servicing & routine maintenance
• Carrying out vehicle health checks
• Pre-delivery and safety inspections
• Ensuring that all repairs are carried out correctly first time and to the manufacturer?s specification
• Various duties including cambelt replacement, engine rebuilds, clutch replacements, brake maintenance plus transmission diagnostics and rebuilds
• To undertake training, either in-house or externally as and when required & to abide by health and safety expectations.

About you

• You must be a qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry recognised qualification.
• Ideally, you will have the ability to work within given timescales and the ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing.
