Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Long Eaton, Derbyshire on a full-time permanent basis.

Salary circa £34K per annum with working hours Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm and two Saturdays per month 8:30am until 12 noon. 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays. You will diagnose, service, perform health checks and pre-delivery inspections, ensuring repairs meet manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry-recognised qualification.
• Ability to work to given timescales and tackle all vehicle repairs and servicing.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out diagnostics and servicing as required.
• Carrying out vehicle health checks and pre-delivery inspections.
• Ensuring repairs are completed correctly first time to manufacturer specifications.
• Carrying out cambelt replacement, engine work, clutch and brake maintenance.
• Undertaking training in-house or externally as required and following health and safety guidance.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic on a full time and permanent basis for a well-known client based in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.

Salary: Circa £34K PA

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm and two Saturdays per month 8:30am until 12 noon

Location: Long Eaton

Holiday entitlement: 25 days annual plus statutory bank holidays

As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic you will be:

• Carrying out diagnostics
• Servicing & routine maintenance
• Carrying out vehicle health checks
• Pre-delivery and safety inspections
• Ensuring that all repairs are carried out correctly first time and to the manufacturer?s specification
• Various duties including cambelt replacement, engine rebuilds, clutch replacements, brake maintenance plus transmission diagnostics and rebuilds
• To undertake training, either in-house or externally as and when required & to abide by health and safety expectations.

About you

• You must be a qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry recognised qualification.
• Ideally, you will have the ability to work within given timescales and the ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing.
