Vehicle Technician – Kingston area

Basic Salary £35,000. OTE £65,000. £1,000 Joining Bonus. Private Health Care. Car Scheme and Staff Discounts. All Skill Levels Welcome.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving service and maintenance centre in Kingston. It is suitable for candidates at any stage of their career, from a couple of years’ workshop experience to an advanced diagnostic level. You’ll join a forward-thinking team that values quality workmanship, provides manufacturer training, and offers clear progression within a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostic work to manufacturer standards
  • Identify and report defects, ensuring MOT and safety compliance
  • Maintain productivity within budgeted timescales
  • Communicate clearly with customers when required
  • Care for workshop tools and equipment, reporting defects
  • Support apprentices and share technical expertise
  • Stay up to date with training and new technologies
  • Work collaboratively to deliver a high-quality service
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Experience in an automotive repair environment, from early career to advanced diagnostic level
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality standards
  • Confident communicator with colleagues and customers
  • Full UK driving license (essential)
  • MOT Tester certification or willingness to train
  • Flexibility to attend training as required
Salary and Benefits
  • Salary: £35,000–£65,000 OTE (experience and productivity dependent)
  • £1,000 joining bonus within first six months
  • Hours: Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, plus Saturday mornings on a 1-in-3 rota
  • 30 days holiday (including bank holidays)
