Job summary

Perfect Placement is recruiting a Vehicle Technician for a reputable Main Dealer in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The role offers a competitive basic salary with an achievable £38,000 OTE based on experience.

Work pattern is Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with rotational Saturday mornings to support work-life balance and opportunities for overtime and progression. Training and equipment are provided to maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience as an automotive technician within a franchised dealership or professional workshop.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on VAG Group vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults using approved diagnostic equipment.
• Complete warranty, retail, and internal repair work accurately within specified timeframes.
• Carry out vehicle health checks and identify additional work requirements.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work performed as aVehicle Technician.
• Work efficiently to achieve high first-time fix rates and productivity targets.
• Follow all workshop processes, technical bulletins, and quality protocols.
• Keep diagnostic tools and equipment in a safe, clean, and operational condition.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including Service Advisors and Parts Department.
• Support junior technicians and apprentices as required.
• Uphold manufacturer standards and dealership policies at all times.

Education
