Job summary

Octane Recruitment has a vacancy for a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Bolton. You will service and maintain a wide range of vehicles, diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults, and carry out MOT testing where qualified.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have the appropriate Level 3 qualification (or Level 2 with substantial experience). The role offers overtime, a generous salary, and bonus opportunities, with in-house training for progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI/ATA/City & Guilds Level 3 ideally, but Level 2 with substantial experience considered.
• Full UK driving licence is mandatory.
• MOT licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair.
• MOT testing duties if qualified.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification, or Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with 3 years' experience, for the UK's leading vehicle rental specialists, working on a wide range of vehicles. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.

Location-Bolton

Salary - Up to £42,000 Basic + Bonus (up to £6,000) + Overtime DOE & Qualifications

Days- Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, Saturdays on a rota

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, ATA or City & Guilds level 3 ideally but we will also consider level 2 with a lot of experience (If you're a level 2 Vehicle Technician with main dealership experience then definitely apply!)
• MOT license is preferred but not essential
