Job summary

Autotech Recruit is currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join one of our trusted automotive clients in Daventry. The role is a full-time permanent position offering a salary up to £40,000 per annum, with immediate or negotiable start date.

Responsibilities include servicing, repairs, diagnostics, inspections, safety, and, if qualified, MOT testing. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance, 2+ years in a professional workshop, a full UK driving license, and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years’ experience in a professional workshop.
• MOT Tester certification preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Autotech Recruit is currently looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Mechanic to join one of our trusted automotive clients, a well-established automotive business which has been operating since 1902 with deep roots in the early motor industry. Its heritage includes links to motorsport, military service, and aviation, with the current site developed post-WWII and still in use today.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within set timeframes.
• Conduct inspections and identify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Support workshop operations and maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
• Carry out MOT testing (if qualified).

Ideal Candidate

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years’ experience working in a professional workshop environment.
• MOT Tester certification (preferred but not essential).
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving ability.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
