Duties as a Vehicle Technician:
- Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including diagnostics, warranty repairs, and general mechanical work
- Perform vehicle health checks, oil changes, cambelt replacements, and other mechanical tasks supported by digital job records
- Ensure all repairs and servicing adhere to manufacturer standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures
- Utilise electronic systems for accurate job write-ups, updating records and completing job cards efficiently
- Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction during each appointment
- Assist in identifying additional repair needs and communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Support team efforts in maintaining clean, organised, and fully equipped workshop facilities
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician position:
- Recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent) in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic, with a track record in warranty work and servicing
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently within a team
- MOT licence is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right individual
- Enthusiastic about continuing professional development through manufacturer training and qualifications
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
