Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd in Barnet is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy independent garage. This is a Monday to Friday role with no weekend work, offering a friendly team environment and a strong work-life balance.

You will service, maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles, diagnose faults with diagnostic equipment, and complete inspections to a high standard. Five years’ experience and own tools are preferred; formal qualifications are desirable but not essential.

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Own tools are essential.
• Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential for candidates with the right experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, exhausts and general mechanical work.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Work closely with the existing team to deliver excellent customer service.
