Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician for a leading main dealer in Leeds. The role involves servicing and maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, and may include MOT work where qualified.

You will join a trusted team with strong training support, a clear progression path, and an attractive package up to £42,000 basic plus bonus and overtime, with DOE and qualifications considered.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering Level 3 (or equivalent). Level 2 considered with main dealership experience.
• MOT license preferred but not essential.
• Must have a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent). We will also consider a level 2 if you have main dealership experience
