Job summary

Autotech Recruit seeks a Vehicle Technician for a busy main dealer in Bath. You will service, diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards in a modern workshop, delivering high-quality work and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have prior experience and an Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification; MOT testing is advantageous. Monday–Friday, 40 hours, with overtime paid at 1.5x.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance.
• Carry out mechanical repairs and fault rectification.
• Complete vehicle health checks and inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults.
• Conduct MOT tests if qualified and licensed.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and technicians to deliver service.

Working within a modern workshop environment, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality servicing, maintenance and repair work while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostic work to manufacturer standards, ensuring vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing routine servicing and maintenance
• Carrying out mechanical repairs and fault rectification

• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults

• Working closely with Service Advisors and fellow technicians to deliver excellent customer service

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience servicing and repairing vehicles
• A Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (desirable)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship
• The ability to work effectively within a team environment
• An MOT Tester qualification (advantageous but not essential)
