Job summary

Silcom Recruitment are supporting a valued client based in Basingstoke who are looking to appoint a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team. Opportunities are available across multiple levels, including Service Technicians, Vehicle Technicians, and Master Technicians.

You will carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, diagnose faults and complete vehicle health checks, and ensure all work is documented accurately in a modern workshop within a

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ2 acceptable for Service Technician positions).
• A valid UK driving license is essential.
• Experience in a dealership or independent garage is advantageous.

The Role

Opportunities are available across multiple levels, including Service Technicians, Vehicle Technicians, and Master Technicians.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose faults and complete vehicle health checks to identify additional work.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, to a high standard, and documented accurately.
• Previous experience within a dealership or independent garage environment is advantageous.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair required for most roles (NVQ Level 2 suitable for Service Technician positions).
• A valid UK driving licence is essential.

The Package

• Salary: Up to £35,000 basic (depending on experience and qaulifications) OTE £45,000+ uncapped!
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm - No Weekends!
• Modern workshop facilities with up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
