Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Vehicle Service Technician for a well established independent garage in the UK. The role covers servicing, repairs and diagnostics across a wide range of vehicles, with a practical, quality‑focused mindset and a friendly, supportive team.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, the position offers a competitive salary (£40,000–£50,000 depending on experience).

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or time-served equivalent.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician/Service Technician/Mechanic.
• Confident servicing, repairs and general mechanical work.
• MOT Testing licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance.
• Replace cambelts, clutches and turbochargers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
• Complete vehicle inspections and health checks.
• Carry out MOT tests if you hold a valid MOT Testing licence.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate job records and communicate any additional work required.

Are you a skilled Vehicle Technician looking for a workshop where quality work, variety and a great team come first?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well established independent garage with an excellent reputation for delivering first class workmanship and customer service. They work on a wide range of vehicles and are looking to expand their team with an experienced Service Technician.

An MOT Testing licence would be a real advantage, but it isn't essential. If you're a strong technician who enjoys servicing, repairs and diagnostics, we'd still love to hear from you.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
