Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester in Bodmin to join a well-established family-run dealership. You will deliver high-quality servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, with opportunities for career growth and ongoing training.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, at least 3 years of experience, and a driving licence. MOT testing duties are included where qualified, with a productivity bonus and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT Licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles to manufacturer specifications.
• Carrying out MOT testing (where qualified).
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing warranty and service documentation accurately.
• Conducting vehicle health checks.
• Identifying additional repair opportunities where appropriate.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Working efficiently within a busy workshop environment.

VEHICLE TECHNICIAN / MOT TESTER

Location: Bodmin

Salary: Up to £38,500 Basic (Depending on Experience) + Productivity Bonus (£44k+ OTE)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm | 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm (Paid as Overtime)

The Role
