BEAR Scotland Limited is seeking an Installation Operative to join the Vehicle Restraint System squad. This full-time role involves on-road work across Scotland, with a requirement to travel and stay away as needed.

Training will be provided, and the candidate should have an LGV Class 2 licence, NHSS 12D, and equipment competencies including excavator <10T and slinger signaller. The role includes erecting crash barriers, installing road furniture, operating tools, and supporting the VRS team,

Qualifications

• Minimum LGV Class 2 Licence (HGV2) required.
• NHSS 12D qualification required.
• Excavator <10T experience required.
• Lorry Loader and Slinger Signaller qualifications.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Responsabilités

• Erect and remove temporary and permanent crash barriers and install traffic management signs.
• Install and fix temporary and permanent road furniture.
• Operate power tools, small plant and machinery.
• Drive vehicles including those with simple attachments (tractors).
• Provide support for the VRS team and maintain health and safety of the public and colleagues.
• Participate in standby and winter maintenance rota.
