Job summary

Igloo Ltd is recruiting an experienced Level 3 Vehicle Recall Technician for a busy automotive operation in Upper Heyford. You will work on manufacturer recall programmes, applying electrical and diagnostic skills in a modern workshop environment.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, strong wiring and diagnostic abilities, and the use of your own tools. A positive, independent yet team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Strong electrical, wiring and diagnostic skills.
• Own tools are essential and a UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete manufacturer recall work in line with instructions and quality standards.
• Carry out electrical repairs and wiring for recall campaigns.
• Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify faults and rectify them.
• Complete vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Install manufacturer-approved ports and components as required.
• Follow recall bulletins and repair procedures accurately.
• Complete all job cards and recall documentation to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technicians to join a busy automotive operation in Upper Heyford. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians to work on manufacturer recall programmes within a modern workshop environment.

The successful candidate will have strong electrical and diagnostic skills and will receive manufacturer-specific training to support their development within the role.

The Role:

As a Level 3 Vehicle Recall Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing manufacturer recall work in line with technical instructions and quality standards.
• Carrying out electrical repairs and wiring work associated with manufacturer recall campaigns.
• Performing vehicle diagnostics to identify and rectify faults.
• Completing vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Installing manufacturer-approved ports and components where required.
• Following manufacturer recall bulletins and repair procedures accurately.
• Completing all job cards and recall documentation to a high standard.
• Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

The Person:

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a workshop environment.
• Strong electrical, wiring, and diagnostic skills.
• Own tools are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Hardworking with a positive and professional attitude.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
