The ideal candidate will have proven experience in vehicle bodyshops, knowledge of sanding, masking and surface preparation, and a strong eye for detail. A permanent position with progression opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a vehicle bodyshop or automotive environment.
• Experience preparing vehicles or panels for paint.
• Knowledge of sanding, masking, filling and surface preparation.
• High standard of workmanship.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint and bodywork.
• Sand, mask and fill as required.
• Prepare panels and surfaces for painting.
• Remove imperfections and ensure a high-quality finish.
• Carry out minor bodywork and cosmetic repairs as needed.
• Prepare repaired panels for the paint process.
• Use bodyshop and preparation equipment as directed.
• Work closely with panel beaters, paint sprayers and vehicle polishers.
• Ensure completed preparation work meets quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
