Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Prepper for a permanent role in Harrogate. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles to a high standard prior to painting and finishing, including sanding, masking and filling.

The role requires working closely with bodyshop and painting teams to ensure flawless prep and surface preparation, contributing to quality finishes in a busy automotive workshop.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle prep or bodyshop environment.
• Knowledge of sanding, masking, filling and surface prep.
• Good attention to detail and high workmanship standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint and bodywork.
• Carry out sanding, masking and filling.
• Prepare panels and surfaces for painting.
• Remove imperfections and ensure high-standard prep work.
• Carry out minor bodywork and cosmetic repairs.
• Prepare repaired panels for the paint process.
• Use relevant bodyshop and prep equipment.
• Work with panel beaters, painters and polishers.
