Job summary

Vertu Vehicle Solutions is seeking a Preparation Controller to join our team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on coordinating workloads, monitoring vehicle progress, and liaising with suppliers and technicians to ensure preparation work is completed on time and to high standards.

You will act as the central point of control for workshop activity, coordinating with internal departments and external providers to ensure vehicles are ready for sale within agreed timescales.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an automotive environment.
• Experience in a Workshop Controller, Preparation Controller, Senior Service Advisor, Bodyshop Controller, VDA, or similar role.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Good understanding of vehicle repair and preparation processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Control and manage vehicle workflow through the preparation process.
• Allocate work to technicians and monitor workshop productivity.
• Coordinate external repairs including paintwork, alloy wheel refurbishment, glass replacement, and specialist repairs.
• Raise and manage job cards and preparation invoicing.
• Monitor vehicle progress and provide updates to key stakeholders.
• Arrange warranty and outsourced repairs with approved suppliers.
• Ensure all work is completed within agreed budgets and timescales.
