Job summary

Alpine is seeking a Vehicle Performance Student Placement in Enstone for a 1-year program starting July 2027. You’ll dive into race engineering, simulation, and data-driven decision-making, analysing car behaviour and supporting setup decisions alongside race engineers.

Three roles exist in simulation setup optimisation, suspension and tyres. The team offers exposure to cutting-edge motorsport analytics and direct impact on race performance.

Qualifications

• Forpenultimate year in Mechanical/Automotive/Motorsport Eng., industry placement
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with interest in vehicle dynamics
• Experience with MATLAB, Python and data analysis tools
• Understands simulation techniques and race engineering principles
• Passion for motorsport and team-oriented mindset
• Right to work in the UK; no sponsorship
• Available onsite for assessment centre in September

Responsibilities

• Assist in analysing telemetry and simulation data to understand car performance
• Support development and validation of vehicle models and simulation tools
• Contribute to setup optimisation and race strategy analysis
• Prepare performance reports for race weekends and test events
• Collaborate with other technical departments for data consistency
