Job summary

National Express Limited in Coventry is seeking a Mechanical Support to assist with vehicle repairs and to uphold regulatory and company standards. This role requires a hands-on mechanical mindset and experience, with a preference for a PCV licence.

You will manage service duties, perform routine services and wheel changes, and maintain accurate documentation while adhering to safety policies and housekeeping standards. A full-time position with rotating shifts is available.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical interest with previous experience.
• A manual PCV driving licence is preferred.
• Able to work rotating shifts and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage service duties through bus allocations, changeovers and garage plans.
• Carry out routine services including oil changes to manufacturer’s and specialist standards.
• Conduct road wheel changes.
• Repair minor defects as needed.
• Ensure all documentation is maintained according to Company procedures.

National Express have a great opportunity to join our Engineering team at Coventry as a Mechanical Support.

Shift Availability

Rotating shifts 06:00 - 14:30 & 14:00 - 22:30. across 7 days.

As a fundamental member of the team your role will involve assisting with the repair of vehicles, ensuring regulations and company standards are continuously met.

You will have a mechanical interest, with previous experience, a manual cardriving licence (PCV Ideal), the drive to succeed and a passion to get stuck in.

What you’ll do...

• Manage service duties through bus allocations, changeovers and garage plans
• Carry out routine services including oil changes quickly and efficiently to manufacturer’s and specialist standards
• Conduct road wheel change
• Repair minor defects as needed
• Ensure all documentation is maintained according to Company procedures
• Maintain good housekeeping and conform to Safety, Health, Environment and Fire Regulations
