Job summary

Find. in Reading is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer – Automotive to train technicians across the BMW retailer network. The role combines hands-on vehicle work with classroom-based sessions, expanding trainees’ diagnostics and fault-finding skills while using modern vehicle technologies.

No prior teaching experience is required; graduates from industry receive funded teaching qualifications and full support. This is a great route into training within the automotive sector.

Qualifications

• Senior Technician, Master Technician, Diagnostic Technician or experienced Automotive Technician.
• Level 3 Automotive qualification is required.
• Strong diagnostics and fault-finding experience.
• Good knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical, hands-on automotive training.

Technical Trainer – Automotive

Salary: £40,170 + Company Car or £4,200 Car Allowance

Location: Reading

Are you an experienced Senior, Diagnostic or Master Technician considering your next move away from the workshop?

This is an opportunity to use the knowledge you've built throughout your career in a different environment, training and developing technicians across the BMW retailer network.

You'll still be working hands-on with modern vehicles, diagnostics and the latest automotive technology, but without the day-to-day pressures of a busy dealership workshop.

No previous teaching experience is required. If you're coming directly from industry, you'll receive full support and funded teaching qualifications.

The role:

What we're looking for:

Previous training experience is useful, but absolutely not essential.
