Vehicle Technician Job Opportunity in Exeter

An excellent opportunity has arisen for Vehicle Technicians of Level 2/3 and Level 4 to join my client's busy dealership in Exeter as Vehicle Technicians and Master Techs.

The successful candidate will be qualified as a vehicle technician from either a main dealer or independent background.

We are looking for reliable technicians who are customer-focused and comfortable working to brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake the timely repair and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with the brand’s technical standards.
• Conduct full examinations of vehicles and identify non-routine defects or additional faults, either in the workshop or during road tests.
• Perform Electronic Vehicle Health Checks and Video Health Checks.
• Road test vehicles for diagnosis and test repairs.
• Work closely with the service team, keeping them informed of work progress and briefing on completed work. Discuss technical issues with customers when requested.
• Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient service, embodying the brand's values.
• Obtain appropriate authorisation for additional work on vehicles.
• Build and maintain technical competence through regular training and be open to new methods to improve efficiency.

• Good communication skills to explain technical information clearly to colleagues and customers.
• Passionate about the industry and committed to developing your technical skills.
• Customer-focused, prioritising customer experience and safety.
• Team player, willing to assist colleagues and take ownership of safety issues.
• Thorough, able to work within defined processes and guidelines.
• Full clean UK driving license.

Salary and Benefits:

• £31k basic salary for Vehicle Technicians and £38k-£40k for Master Techs.
