A leading global logistics company is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician for their London Gateway Port. This role involves 12-hour shifts, where you’ll maintain the accessibility and reliability of cranes and mobile equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle maintenance and electrical engineering, with a Minimum Level 3 Qualification. Competitive compensation and opportunities for development available.
We are currently looking for Vehicle Maintenance Technicians to join our team based at London Gateway Port in Stanford le Hope.We are a 24/7 operation this role will be day and night shifts,working 12 hours at a time. The good news is, this means that in a 2-week period, you will work 7 shifts and have every other weekend off! Working in Automotive industries as a Vehicle Technician/HGV/LGV technician or associated roles would be great experience to hold for this role.
The vital responsibility of the Vehicle Maintenance Technician aids in ensuring the smooth running of terminal operations by maintaining the accessibility and reliability of cranes and mobile equipment. Technicians are allocated to an asset group to carry out planned maintenance, repairs, and project-related work as well as provide help during the delivery, inspection, and commissioning of new equipment.
It\'s an interesting opportunity to work with machinery like quay cranes, Vehicles of all kinds such as terminal tractors, shuttles, straddle carries and more. In this varied career, no two days are ever the same. You might need to do critical repairs on one of the machines here after dealing with general gear box maintenance.
