Job summary

BCA is the UK's largest B2B used vehicle service seeking a Vehicle Assessor to inspect and record the condition of vehicles as they enter our sites, ensuring they are ready for sale. You’ll complete accurate vehicle reports using our mobile inspection app, log mileage and key details, and verify documentation to deliver a right-first-time experience for customers.

This role is outdoors in a busy yard, with training through the BCA Academy and a clear path to grow within the business.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK driving licence and be able to drive manual and automatic cars.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Interest in cars or the automotive industry.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Good IT skills with mobile apps and handheld devices.
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Previous automotive experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Booking in vehicles, logging mileage and key details.
• Checking and verifying vehicle documentation.
• Identifying damage, including transit-related issues.
• Recording and securing loose items found in vehicles.
• Recommending and ordering standard and enhancement services.
• Using handheld technology and mobile apps daily.
• Working safely in a busy yard environment.
• Supporting wider site operations when required.
