Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Vehicle Assessment Technician to join our Inspections team at client sites in Birmingham. You will complete quality vehicle condition reports and testing to established procedures, working with experienced inspectors.

Newly qualified applicants are encouraged to apply; the role offers market-leading training and career progression within the UK’s leading breakdown provider. A full UK driving licence is required, with a competitive base salary and potential OTE, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent motor trade industry experience.
• Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics and software updates; advantage for electric/hybrid vehicles.
• Strong written communication and ability to communicate at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete work against set inspection procedures with findings reported via a PDA report template.
• Complete used-vehicle condition reports.
• Maintain daily site inspections through cooperation with other team colleagues.
• Maintain contact and interaction with customer contacts.

About The Role

RAC have an exciting opportunity for Vehicle Assessment Technicians to join our Inspections team. As a Vehicle Assessment Technician, you will be an integral member of RAC and to our continued growth and delivery of exceptional service that RAC is known for. You will work within a team of experienced inspectors, to complete quality vehicle condition reporting and testing as part of a site-based inspector role at our clients' premises.

As a Vehicle Assessment Technician you will...

To be a Vehicle Assessment Technician you’ll need...
