Job summary

FMG in Huddersfield is seeking a Vehicle Image Engineer to join our team. The role involves preparing engineer's reports for insurance companies, validating vehicle damage data, and ensuring accuracy of documents and images.

The position starts with 100% office-based training on internal systems, then moves to hybrid desktop work. Ideal candidates bring proven VDA estimating experience, ATA accreditation, and familiarity with Audatex, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Previous proven body shop estimating experience (VDA with ATA accreditation), desktop engineering-based insurance work or body shop repairs (Paint/Panel Techs).
• Experience of motor vehicles, familiarity with all types of damage and repair methods.
• Good understanding and knowledge of estimating and valuation tools, especially Audatex.
• Knowledge and experience of the commercial vehicle accident repair sector.
• Experience of Commercial vehicles will be helpful along with exposure to an insurance or claims operating environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build rapport with customers and suppliers over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Prepare an engineer's report on behalf of insurance companies.
• Check all documents containing information on damage, vehicle information and images and make amendments as required.
• Own the desktop validation process within a hybrid, training-led environment.
