Job summary

Pentagon Motor Group is seeking a Vehicle Handler to join the West Hallam Fleet Department. The role focuses on safe movement, initial inspections, and accurate recording of vehicle status and damages using digital systems.

You will support stock checks, site organisation and occasional customer handovers. Working hours are Mon-Fri, 08:00–17:00, with the chance to contribute to a professional, efficient fleet operation and professional handovers using MoDel.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle handling and movement operations.
• Ability to log damages accurately and use digital systems.
• Attention to detail for quality checks before delivery.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles on arrival and log damage via the arrivals portal.
• Carry out quality control checks before customer delivery.
• Safely move and position vehicles within the site.
• Transport vehicles between depots, workshops and partner locations.
• Update vehicle movements in digital systems and support stock checks.
• Assist with site organisation and occasional customer handovers.
• Report defects promptly using the designated digital processes.

Job Introduction

Pentagon Motor Group are currently on the look out for a vehicle handler to join their amazing and friendly West Hallam based Fleet Department!

Role Overview

The Fleet Vehicle Handler supports the safe, efficient, and digitally controlled movement of vehicles across the compound and operational areas. The role includes - inspecting vehicles on arrival, completing quality checks before delivery, updating digital systems accurately, and using online processes to record damage, track vehicle status, and support stock control. The role also supports vehicle readiness, site organisation, and occasional customer handovers, helping ensure a professional, reliable, and efficient fleet operation.

Job Description

• Inspect vehicles on arrival from port, identifying and logging any damage or missing items accurately via the arrivals portal.
• Carry out quality control checks on vehicles prior to customer delivery to ensure they meet required standards.
• Safely move and position vehicles within the compound in line with operational requirements.
• Transport vehicles offsite when required, including between depots, workshops, and partner locations.
• Support stock checks by accurately locating, verifying, and updating vehicle movements and status within digital systems.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the vehicle compound at all times.
• Collect and deliver parts to support workshop and preparation activities.
• Fuel and charge vehicles as required, ensuring readiness for operational use or delivery.
• Assist with managing vehicle flow to support efficient site operations and turnaround times.
• Occasionally carry out direct vehicle deliveries to customers, ensuring a professional handover with the use of MoDel.
• Report defects, damages, or discrepancies promptly using the correct digital processes and systems.
• Follow all health & safety procedures, site rules, and vehicle handling guidelines.

The working hours for this role is Mon - Fri 08:00 - 17:00
