Job summary

Lookers Newcastle Skoda Cupra is recruiting a Diagnostic Technician to join a busy workshop, delivering vehicle health checks, services and repairs with state‑of‑the‑art equipment. You will report to the Aftersales Manager and have access to manufacturer accreditation training to accelerate career progression.

Hours are 40 per week, Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00 with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30–12:30. Competitive salaries, structured progression, and extensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Motor industry experience (brand or non-brand) is desirable.
• Full and valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Perform checks in line with manufacturers guidelines.
• Fit additional accessories requested by customers.
• Conduct vehicle health checks and report further work needed.
• Complete vehicle service per manufacturers guidelines and customer requests.
• Carry out minor repairs on vehicles to high standards.
• Perform diagnostic checks in mechanical and electrical areas.
• Ensure paperwork is completed to a high standard.
