Pybus Recruitment is recruiting a Vehicle Damage Assessor for a leading automotive bodyshop group in Darlington. The role involves inspecting vehicles, preparing accurate estimates, and coordinating with customers, insurers, and workshop teams.

The successful candidate will have experience in an accident repair centre, strong knowledge of repair methods, and proficiency with Audatex/AudaNet or Eclipse. UK driving license required; salary up to £45,000 with benefits and training opportunities.

Our client is seeking a professional and customer-focused Vehicle Damage Assessor who can accurately assess vehicle damage, prepare repair estimates, and support the smooth progression of repairs through the workshop.

The Role

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will play a key role in the repair process by inspecting vehicles, producing accurate estimates, and liaising with customers, insurers, and repair technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements
  


• Produce detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating systems
  


• Liaise with insurance companies, engineers, and customers throughout the repair process
  


• Identify additional repair work as required and update estimates accordingly
  


• Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer and industry standards
  


• Support efficient workflow management within the bodyshop
  


• Maintain accurate records and documentation
  

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, Estimator, or VDA within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
  


• Strong knowledge of vehicle repair methods and industry standards
  


• Experience using estimating systems such as Audatex, AudaNet or Eclipse
  


• Excellent communication and customer service skills
  


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  


• ATA accreditation (preferred but not essential)
  


• Full UK Driving Licence
